Top Ten Tuesday was originally hosted over at The Broke and The Bookish and is now over at Jana’s blog, That Artsy Reader Girl.
The problem with being a book hoarder is that we are forever buying books and never having the time to read them. So they sit on our shelves, gathering the dust (figuratively speaking because we would never let dust touch our books) and we forget about them.
This weeks topic is all about those books. The ones that we keeping forgetting to read. Or perhaps ones we wished we had bought and still want to buy.
1. A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness
Originally added to my Goodreads To-Read list in 2011, I have been wanting to read this for a long time and I even have it on my shelf. I just haven’t gotten around to reading it yet, but I will be looking to change that in 2018.
2. Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
I recently just bought this on my Kindle because it was so cheap and it is a book I have been wanting to read since forever.
3. Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor
Everybody used to rave about this book years ago when it came out and I always wanted to read it, but for one reason or another I didn’t get a chance to. I probably never will, but it’s still on my Goodreads list.
4. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
While this book wasn’t added to my Goodreads To-Read list, I have been wanting to read it for a while now and I finally have the duology on my shelves, just waiting for me to pick them up.
5. Magician by Raymond E. Feist
My dad actually suggested this book to me because he said the trilogy was incredible and so I bought it a couple of years ago. I did start reading Magician, but I only got around 150 pages in. I can still remember what I read, as clear as day, so I am going to revisit it this year and maybe buy the rest.
6. Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard
I am a third of the way through Glass Sword and it has been stuck on my Currently Reading section for a good three or four months now. I just need to plough through it and get to King’s Cage before the final book is released.
7. Cinder by Marissa Meyer
While I read Cinder, I never finished the rest of the series and people have been raving about it. I have no idea where my copy is now, so if I wanted to finish it off I would have to buy it again.
8. Graceling by Kristin Cashore
A book that has been sitting on my shelf for years. I think I might have started it at some point but lost interest in it for one reason or another. I’m still not sure if I’m going to read it.
9. Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare
So, funny story. I really loved Clockwork Angel and started Clockwork Prince…only to stop reading just over halfway. I think this is a series that I need to re-read before I start Lady Midnight.
10. The Demon King by Cinda Williams Chima
I have heard PeruseProject on YouTube talk about this book a couple of times and I actually added it to my To-Read list way back in 2011. It is still a book that I want to read because I am really into Fantasy at the moment (I have to be if I’m writing a Fantasy book).
What books are still on your TBR list? Let me know in the comments below.
The only one I’ve read (and absolutely loved!!) on your list is Magician by Raymond E. Feist! The others, im sad to say, are all also on my TBR!! Oops! Better get reading 😀

Great list! I’ve tried to read Cinder twice. I’m attempting audiobook now and it seems to be a little better, actually almost done!

Graceling was SO hyped several years ago. I had always wanted to read it, however now I sort of lost interest… Usually every several months or so I’d browse through my Goodreads TBR shelf and delete the books I’m not interested anymore.

I love Shadow and Bone so much. I really hope you enjoy it when you get around to reading it. Six of Crows was on my list too. I keep saying I’m going to read it and it’s still sitting unread on my bookshelf, oops. I didn’t really like Glass Sword much and decided not to finish the series. I finally got around to reading the Lunar Chronicles and honestly, I wasn’t impressed. It was okay, but I didn’t love it as much as everyone else. Cinder was good and Winter was good, but the others were just so boring to me.

There;s too many books that just sit on my shelf, waiting for me to read them haha! I know a lot of people say Glass Sword is the worst book in the series so I’m hoping the third is good
